Debra Nickles is an Associate Professor in the English department at Ohio University Chillicothe, with additional teaching responsibilities in the Women, Gender, and Sexualities Studies department at Ohio University Athens. She serves as Director of the OHIO Chillicothe Writing Center, where she develops writing workshops and oversees tutoring programs across disciplines.
Her research and teaching focus on:
- English composition and writing pedagogy
- Gender and sexuality studies
- Women's studies and feminist theory
- Curriculum development for humanities education
She maintains active involvement in professional organizations including:
