Professor Debra Jackson AO is an Adjunct Professor and Emeritus Professor at UTS, recognized globally for leadership in nursing research and education. Awarded the Order of Australia for distinguished service to medical education, her work advances health equity, social justice, and cultural safety in healthcare.
Research encompasses pressure injury prevention, nursing leadership, mental health responses in rural contexts, and workforce well-being. She champions qualitative methodologies and systematic review rigor as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical Nursing.
Publications reflect scholarly leadership across nursing theory, workplace challenges, research methodology, and rural health. Recent works address nurse disengagement, qualitative research integrity, and academic workforce sustainability through critical analyses and practical frameworks.
