Dr. Debra Cherubini serves as an Associate Professor and RN-BSN Program Director in the Department of Nursing at Salve Regina University. With 37 years of nursing experience including 20 years as a U.S. Navy nurse, she has been a full-time faculty member since 2012 and is a graduate of Salve Regina's nursing program.
Her educational qualifications include:
- B.S. in Nursing, Salve Regina University (1988)
- M.S. in Nursing, University of Rhode Island (1998)
- Ph.D. in Nursing Education, Capella University (2015)
Dr. Cherubini's research focuses on critical healthcare domains including public health emergency response systems, disaster preparedness protocols, healthcare data management through informatics, and organizational leadership frameworks. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered interactive learning that develops evidence-based practice skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities essential for complex clinical environments.
As RN-BSN Program Director, she oversees curriculum development and program operations with a focus on producing clinically competent nurses who improve patient outcomes.
