Deborah Thigpen

Dr. Deborah Thigpen is a Visiting Professor at Florida A&M University’s School of Journalism and Graphic Communication (SJGC), where she teaches courses in reporting, public relations, and strategic communication. With over 40 years of professional experience, she combines academic instruction with a career in journalism, public relations, and entrepreneurship. Her roles include advising the SJGC’s Journey magazine and co-advising the NABJ Student Chapter. Thigpen also leads Thigpen & Associates, Inc., a PR and marketing firm, and has consulted for organizations like NASA, the EPA, and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
