Deborah Stiles is a Professor and Coordinator of Applied Educational Psychology in the Multidisciplinary Studies Department at Webster University's School of Education. With a career spanning since 1981, she has conducted international research in eleven countries, focusing on child and adolescent psychology in educational contexts.
Her research expertise includes adolescent gender roles, children's drawings, intercultural research, international children's rights, and school crisis intervention and prevention. Stiles applies cross-cultural psychology to address challenges in school settings and promote social justice through practical interventions.
Stiles' scholarly work addresses critical issues in education such as social justice implementation, crisis response in schools (including the Ferguson crisis), and cross-cultural comparisons of adolescents' school experiences. Her publications emphasize international collaboration and actionable strategies for educators and psychologists.
