Deborah Munro

Dr Deborah Munro is a Lecturer in the School of Education at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), affiliated with the Faculty of Creative Industries, Education & Social Justice. Her research focuses on inclusive education systems, particularly the intersection of caring responsibilities and higher education accessibility for women. She holds a Master of Education (Career Development) from QUT and is nearing completion of her PhD.

Her work examines student-carer engagement, reflexive decision-making frameworks, and systemic barriers faced by unpaid carers pursuing academic pathways. Key research areas include gender equity in education, policy implications for marginalized groups, and qualitative methodologies.
