Deborah Kochevar

Deborah Kochevar is Dean Emerita of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and a Senior Fellow at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, both at Tufts University. She holds a DVM from Texas A&M University, a PhD in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Texas Southwestern, and an MBA in Global Business Administration from The Fletcher School. Her research focuses on global One Health diplomacy, inter-professional education, clinical science, and veterinary accreditation.

Dr. Kochevar has advised on veterinary education standards through her chair roles in the Council on Education and Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates. Her work bridges academic leadership with global health diplomacy, focusing on interdisciplinary solutions for healthcare challenges.
