Professor Deborah Hersh specializes in Speech Pathology at Curtin School of Allied Health, with adjunct appointments at University of Adelaide. Her 30-year career focuses on aphasia rehabilitation and Aboriginal health research.
Research examines person-centered aphasia interventions, therapeutic assessment frameworks, and healthcare experiences of Aboriginal Australians post-stroke. Recent work develops culturally secure rehabilitation models through NHMRC-funded projects.
