Dr. Debangana Bose is a Lecturer and Teaching Associate in Human Geography at the University of Cambridge, Department of Geography. Her career includes roles such as Research Associate (Philomathia Fellow, 2021-2024) and Lecturer at Maynooth University (2019-2021). She holds a PhD from Ohio State University and has taught extensively across institutions in India, Ireland, and the U.S.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on platform urbanism, labour geographies, and development studies. She explores how digital platforms reshape work in small Indian towns and the politics of displacement in Delhi’s periphery. Recent projects include studying decent work conditions in collaboration with Prof. Bhaskar Vira.
Teaching & Grants: She teaches modules like 'Global Urbanism' and 'Geographies of Work'. Awards include the Philomathia Fellowship (2021-2024) and NSF grants (2016). She co-founded the Working Lives Lab within the Decent Work and Youth Livelihoods Programme at Cambridge.
