Dr. Deb Brosseuk is a Senior Lecturer in English, Literacies, and Literature at the Sydney School of Education and Social Work (SSESW), University of Sydney. She serves as Program Director for the Master of Teaching (Primary) program and has held national roles as co-editor of ALEA’s Practical Literacy journal and co-convenor of ALEA’s TESIG. Her research focuses on literacy pedagogies, multimodal texts, and children’s literature in early education. Brosseuk holds a PhD from Griffith University (2019) and a Master’s from the University of Newcastle (Literacy and Boys Education).
Research & Projects: Current projects include investigations into preservice teachers’ use of children’s literature in curriculum design, early literacy pedagogy tools (N-SIT), and teacher preparedness in ITE programs. She collaborates with institutions like QUT and RMIT, emphasizing observational studies and mixed-method approaches.
