معرفی
Deana B. Andric is a Full Professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, specializing in the Department of Organic Chemistry. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the same institution (1996). Her research focuses on medicinal chemistry, particularly the synthesis and evaluation of dopaminergic/serotonergic ligands, and computational modeling of receptor-ligand interactions. She has served in administrative roles including Vice Dean for Finance (2007-2010), Chairman of the Committee for Disciplinary Responsibility of Students (2021), and Deputy Chairman of the Ethical Committee (2023).
Education includes:
- BSc in Chemistry (1987), University of Belgrade
- MSc in Chemistry (1991), Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade
- PhD in Chemistry (1996), Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade
Research interests emphasize medicinal chemistry applications, with a focus on designing ligands targeting dopamine and serotonin receptors. Over 30 peer-reviewed articles demonstrate expertise in drug design, neuropharmacology, and computational methods.
Key projects include a National Fundamental Research Project (2011) on structure-activity relationships of biological compounds, funded by Serbia's Ministry of Science. Her work combines synthetic chemistry with in vitro pharmacological testing and molecular modeling.
Labs/teams: Active in the Department of Organic Chemistry and the Centre for Food Molecular Sciences. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams involving pharmacologists, computational chemists, and neuroscientists.
