Dean Neu is Professor of Accounting at York University's Schulich School of Business and Director of the CPA Ontario-Schulich Centre for Digital Financial Information. His research examines accounting's role in social accountability, corruption prevention, and public interest governance.
Recognized with the 2016 Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Thought award, he analyzes ethical discourse in professional practice and institutional accountability mechanisms. Recent publications investigate Twitter-based social accountability processes and accounting's role in anti-corruption frameworks.
His work has appeared in leading journals including Accounting, Organizations and Society and Journal of Business Ethics, spanning topics from indigenous rights to healthcare reform.
