Professor Dean Jerry is a Professor in Aquaculture and Director of the Tropical Futures Institute at James Cook University's Singapore campus. He also serves as Associate Dean of Research for the College of Science and Engineering. His research focuses on applying genetic technologies to improve farmed aquatic species, with expertise in aquaculture genetics, genomics, selective breeding, environmental DNA, and aquatic animal health. He leads major research hubs like the ARC Supercharging Tropical Aquaculture Hub and has secured over $42 million in external funding.
