Dayton Steele

Dayton Steele is an Assistant Professor in the Supply Chain and Operations Department at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. His research focuses on empirical operations and innovative retail processes, utilizing structural estimation and field experiments across diverse retail contexts including apparel, e-commerce, consumer electronics, and automobile spare parts.

• BS in Mathematical Economics from University of Richmond (2013)

Research Highlights: Combines structural modeling with field experiments to analyze retail operations, particularly in intertemporal pricing strategies with resellers and circularity execution in supply chains. His work appears in journals like Management Science and The UMAP Journal.

Teaching: Has taught courses in business analytics, operations management, and data analysis at both University of Minnesota and UNC Chapel Hill. Recognized with the Latané PhD Outstanding Teacher award in 2021.
