Professor Dawn Stacey is a Distinguished Professor and Vice-Dean (Research) at the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Ottawa. She holds a PhD in Population Health from the same institution, alongside advanced qualifications in Nursing. As a Senior Scientist at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, her research focuses on decision science, implementation science, and patient-centered care. She leads the Patient Decision Aids Research Group and contributes to the Centre for Implementation Research.

Research interests include patient decision aids, decision coaching, implementation of evidence into practice, telephone-based care, interprofessional shared decision-making, oncology nursing, and patient/family-centred care. Key awards include Fellowships from the Royal Society of Canada, Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, American Academy of Nursing, and Canadian Academy of Nursing. She is also a member of the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and collaborates with international institutions like the University of Southern Denmark as an Adjunct Professor.
Her research has led to impactful publications on decision aids, pandemic decision-making, and oncology symptom management. She actively supervises graduate students and engages in knowledge translation to bridge research and clinical practice.
