Dawn Dugan is a Doctoral Lecturer in the Psychology Department at Hunter College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY). She previously served as adjunct faculty at Hofstra University and a visiting professor at SUNY Westbury's College. Her roles include teaching and research in clinical, developmental, and community psychology.
Dr. Dugan holds a BS in Psychology from New York University and a PhD in Clinical/School Psychology from Hofstra University. Her research focuses on the impact of inter-parental conflict on parenting practices, communication, and child/adolescent development. Clinically, she specializes in cognitive-behavioral treatments for anxiety and depression, intervention techniques for adolescents, and managing maternal stress in mothers of young children.
She has nine years of teaching experience, covering courses in clinical, developmental, and community psychology. Dr. Dugan is also dedicated to campus initiatives addressing women’s issues.
