Dawit Aberra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Fort Valley State University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Arkansas, a Post Graduate Diploma in Mathematics from ICTP (Italy), and M.S. and B.S. degrees from Addis Ababa University. His research spans mathematical analysis, computational biology, and applied statistics.
Research Interests: Dr. Aberra's work focuses on advanced mathematical theories and their computational applications. Key areas include:
- Computational biology for gene regulatory network analysis
- Mathematical imaging and pattern recognition
- Harmonic function theory and differential equations
- Statistical modeling for biomedical applications
His recent publications highlight algorithm development for hyperspectral imaging and noise analysis in biological systems. Earlier works contributed to geometric analysis and mathematical education reform at HBCUs.
