Davood B. Pourkargar is an Assistant Professor in the Tim Taylor Department of Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University (K-State), holding the Warren and Gisela Kennedy Keystone Research Scholar position. He joined K-State in 2020 after postdoctoral roles at the University of Minnesota and the University of Delaware, and industry experience at ExxonMobil. His research focuses on computational multiscale modeling, physics-informed machine learning, and optimization-based control of sustainable energy and chemical production systems. Key areas include advanced manufacturing, smart materials synthesis, and autonomous biomanufacturing, supported by grants from the NSF and industry.
