Davinder Jassal

Dr. Davinder Jassal is a Full Professor of Medicine, Radiology, and Physiology and Pathophysiology at the University of Manitoba. He serves as Head of the Section of Cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine and Principal Investigator of the Cardiovascular Imaging Laboratory at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. His research focuses on multimodality cardiovascular imaging in heart failure, particularly in cardio-oncology and women’s heart health. He holds cross-appointments in Radiology and Physiology and Pathophysiology.

Education: MD (1998, University of Manitoba), Residency in Internal Medicine (1998-2001), Adult Cardiology Residency (2001–2004, Dalhousie University), and a Cardiac Imaging Fellowship (2004–2006).

Awards: Multiple honors including the Henry Friesen Award and teaching excellence recognition. His work bridges clinical care and translational research, with half his time dedicated to patient care in cardiac imaging and acute cardiac care units.
