Dr. Davinder Bhowmik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Asian Languages & Literature at the University of Washington, serving as Chair of the Peer Teaching Review Committee. They hold a Ph.D. (1997), M.A. (1993), and dual B.A. degrees (1985, 1986) in Japanese Language and English Literature from the same institution. Their research focuses on modern Japanese literature, particularly Okinawan fiction and peace rhetoric in contemporary works.
