Davide Sola

Davide Sola is a Full Professor of Strategy at ESCP Business School London campus, where he also previously served as Director. His teaching focuses on business strategy, Transformation and Entrepreneurship with particular emphasis on Scale Ups for both graduate and post-graduate courses.

Dr. Sola's educational background includes a Master's in European Management, Diplom Kaufmann, Diplôme des Grandes Ecoles, and Laurea in Economia from Universita' di Torino. He earned his doctorate in Enterprise Economics from the University of Torino with a thesis on "Organisational transformation".

His professional journey began with involvement in technology Start-ups in Oxford and London, followed by a position as Head of New Ventures at the Hartley Investment Trust. In 2003, he joined McKinsey & Co. as an Engagement Manager, and was part of the team that established ESCP Business School's Torino campus. He served as Vice-President of the Board of the Italian campus until 2010, and joined ESCP as a permanent faculty member in 2007 after a sabbatical year.

Dr. Sola's research interests center around corporate transformation, strategic renewal, and entrepreneurship with a specific focus on the exponential growth phase known as "Scale Up". He has presented papers at international research conferences including Academy of Management, SMS, and EIASM.
