Prof. Dr. Alexander Benlian is a Professor at the Endowed Chair for Information Systems & Electronic Services at the Faculty of Law and Economics, Technical University of Darmstadt, since 2012. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (2008–2012) and as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company (2006–2008). He also teaches at Goethe Business School in Frankfurt.
His research focuses on digital transformation, algorithmic management, and human-AI collaboration, integrating insights from business informatics, entrepreneurship, service research, psychology, and ethics. He has collaborated with institutions like Stanford University, Google Inc., and HEC Montréal.
