Davide Sciarabba serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion & Biblical Languages at Andrews University. An ordained Italian pastor, he brings extensive cross-cultural ministry experience from Adventist Universities in Florence, Collonges, and Sagunto where he held roles including chaplain, professor, youth pastor, and senior pastor.
Dr. Sciarabba is completing his PhD in Religion at Andrews University with specialization in Systematic Theology and Ethics. His doctoral research investigates the lived experience of faith, examining how theological concepts translate into practical believer ethics.
His scholarly work focuses on Biblical Interpretation and Hermeneutics, developing frameworks for understanding scripture's purpose, origins, and ethical applications. Recent projects analyze how believers comprehend biblical texts through historical context and theological lenses, particularly in the 'Do you understand what you read?' series addressing comprehension barriers and scriptural foundations.
Dr. Sciarabba's 2025 research output demonstrates consistent thematic development across 19 items, primarily digital products exploring hermeneutical approaches to biblical literacy. The series progresses from foundational comprehension to ethical implications, reflecting his dual expertise in theological theory and practical ministry.
Integrating his PhD research on faith with pastoral experience, he bridges academic theology and real-world religious practice. His teaching methodology emphasizes practical scriptural application, informed by direct engagement with diverse congregational contexts across three European countries.
