Davide Pietrobon is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Economics, Lund University, within the School of Economics and Management. His research focuses on applied microeconomics and economic development, particularly examining village economies, informal insurance mechanisms, agricultural practices, land markets, and social networks. He explores topics such as risk-sharing, technology adoption, and household finance dynamics.
His work includes studies on the interplay between risk-sharing and land misallocation, as well as the dual role of insurance in agricultural input use. Recent publications address incomplete market distortions and exploratory analyses of credit market dynamics. His research often employs empirical methods to understand developmental challenges in economic systems.
