Davide Ambrogio Faoro is an Associate Professor of Roman History at the Department of Literature and Philosophy, University of Florence, where he has been teaching since March 2020. His academic journey began with a degree in Ancient History from the University of Bologna in 2002, followed by a PhD from the University of Udine in 2006. Prior to his current position, he held research positions at multiple Italian universities and participated in an ERC project at the University of Bordeaux-Montaigne from 2017 to 2019.

His scholarly output shows a methodological approach combining epigraphic evidence with historical analysis to reconstruct administrative practices and territorial organization in the Roman world.
