Dr. David Usher is a Lecturer in Ceramics at the University of Southern Queensland, School of Creative Arts. He holds a Master of Visual Arts (2006) and a Doctor of Creative Arts (2025) from USQ. His research focuses on reinterpreting the Australian landscape through ceramics and painting, emphasizing practice-led methodologies. Usher has exhibited nationally and internationally since 1988, with notable exhibitions including 'Magic Mountain' (2023), 'Landscape: Notions of the Spook' (2023), and 'Moree, Mehi After the Flood' (2022).
