David Topping

David Topping is an Associate Professor and Reader in Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Manchester, affiliated with the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences. He is also a Fellow of the Alan Turing Data Science Institute. His research focuses on atmospheric aerosol modeling, computational methods, and machine learning applications. Topping’s work integrates aerosol physics, climate change impacts, and data-driven approaches to address air quality challenges. He leads projects on urban climate adaptation, aerosol mixing state modeling, and environmental data integration.
