David T. Stern, MD, PhD, is the Dr. Paul R. Esserman Professor of Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and Vice Chair for Education and Faculty Affairs in the Department of Medicine. He also serves as Chief of Medicine Service at the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Medical Center and leads the Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE) Program. With over 30 years of experience, his work focuses on medical education innovation, professionalism in medicine, and improving healthcare training globally. Stern has authored over 100 publications on medical education and is a recognized leader in advancing faculty development and diversity initiatives.
