David M. Studdert is Vice Provost and Dean of Research at Stanford University, holding joint professorships in Health Policy at Stanford School of Medicine and Law at Stanford Law School. His research examines health law, injury prevention, and empirical legal studies with particular focus on firearm violence, medical malpractice, and public health policy.
Studdert's work analyzes the legal and policy dimensions of public health challenges, including firearm regulation impacts on suicide/homicide risks, correctional health during pandemics, and inappropriate medication prescribing.
