David Stewart is part of the Centre on the Legal Profession at the University of Westminster, serving as Programme Leader for Professional Courses (GDL, CILEx, and LPC). He is the Assessments Officer for the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and teaches LPC Criminal Litigation and Family Law. His current research focus is on International Family Law.
Education:
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Durham
- Teacher training at the University of Ulster
Professional Background: Admitted as a solicitor in 1993, with prior practice in family law (including care work) and criminal litigation. Maintained consultancy roles in family law until recently with a North London firm.
Teaching & Leadership: Oversee professional legal qualifications programs and contribute to the design and delivery of courses critical to legal practice training.
