David Stewart Donar is a Professor of Art in Animation at Clemson University, affiliated with the Department of Art within the College of Architecture, Art and Construction. He holds an M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University and a B.F.A. from Eastern Michigan University. His teaching and research focus on interdisciplinary approaches blending animation, digital production, and folklore studies. He developed courses like ART 8210 Visual Narrative and pioneered capstone projects integrating art, technology, and environmental themes. Notable works include the award-winning animations *Mocking Bird* and *Flap!*, and VR project *Journey to Proxima Centauri*. His research explores folklore through music, Cajun culture, and ecological narratives, often collaborating with musicians and scientists.
