David Stenner

David Stenner is an Associate Professor of History at Christopher Newport University (CNU), specializing in modern North African and Middle Eastern history with a focus on decolonization. He currently holds a Humboldt Fellowship at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich until August 2025. His research bridges Middle Eastern and North African studies through transnational network analysis.

Current projects include analyzing wartime experiences in North Africa (1939-1945) and the intersection of culture and politics under Vichy colonial rule.
