David Sharp

David Sharp is a Professor of Nursing at the School of Nursing, Eastern University, with over 20 years of experience in the United States after training as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Educator in Scotland. He teaches across baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral programs using student-centered approaches in face-to-face, distance, and hybrid learning environments.

His primary clinical and research focus centers on Mental Health Nursing, with additional expertise in:

• Transcultural Nursing and Anthropology
• Nursing Research Education
• NCLEX Professional Licensure Preparation
• Student Remediation Strategies for retention improvement

Dr. Sharp is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and serves on the NCLEX exam writing panel. He co-authored an open-source Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing textbook and regularly presents at national and international conferences on nursing education and clinical safety.
