David Setton

David Setton is a Brinson Prize Fellow at Princeton University's Department of Astrophysical Sciences and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on galaxy evolution, particularly post-starburst galaxies and Little Red Dots (LRDs), using the SQuIGGLE, RUBIES, and UNCOVER surveys with ALMA and JWST.

His work investigates quenching mechanisms in massive galaxies, spectral energy distributions of LRDs, and early universe structures. By analyzing SEDs and spectroscopic data, he aims to constrain star formation histories and dust content in high-redshift systems.

Setton has contributed to studies on CO(2-1) luminosity in post-starburst galaxies, "V"-shaped SED turnover at the Balmer limit, and early core formation in dusty quiescent galaxies. His awards include the Brinson Prize Fellowship and the Myron P. Garfunkel Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching Award.
