David Scott is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. He holds a PhD in Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Victoria, along with MA degrees in both Sport Psychology and Psychology. Scott's research focuses on behavior change in sport/exercise contexts and psychological benefits of physical activity.
His publications analyze performance enhancement strategies including anticipation training for tennis players and single-subject intervention designs. Recent work examines psychological factors influencing exercise adherence and sport performance optimization. Scott has presented research nationally and internationally, contributing to sport psychology practice frameworks.
