David Scott is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Advisor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Victoria, located within the Faculty of Humanities. He holds a BA and MA from Memorial University and a PhD from the University of Reading. His expertise spans Early Modern philosophy, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and philosophy of religion. Prior to joining the University of Victoria in 1999, he taught at Memorial University, Reading University, and Gonzaga University. His research includes the publication On Malebranche (2001) and articles in journals such as Idealistic Studies, Sophia, and The Southern Journal of Philosophy.
