David Schlipf

David Schlipf is a Research Professor at the Wind Energy Technology Institute (WETI) within the Department of Energy and Biotechnology at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, a position held since 2018. He also teaches wind energy fundamentals, control engineering, aerodynamics, and advanced mathematics at both Flensburg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Stuttgart. He founded sowento, a renewable energy startup, and holds leadership roles including Operating Agent of IEA Wind Task 32 (since 2016), Treasurer of the European Academy of Wind Energy (since 2017), and Editor at Wind Energy Journal (since 2020).
