David Sanmartino

David Sanmartino is a Postgraduate Researcher at York St John University, with a clinical background in Health Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Forensic Psychology. As a humanistic and pluralistic practitioner, his work prioritizes client-centered approaches and the exploration of diverse realities through the lenses of Pluralism and Metamodernism.

Currently, he is conducting a fully funded PhD project in collaboration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), focusing on barriers and mechanisms of Routine Outcome Measures (ROMs) in clinical practice from the client's perspective. He also teaches counselling at York St John University and maintains a private practice, dedicating one and a half days weekly to client care.
