David S. Rosenblum

David S. Rosenblum is the Planning Research Corporation Professor and Chair of the Department of Computer Science at George Mason University, and a member of the Constructor Group Strategic Advisory Board. He earned his PhD from Stanford University in 1988.

His research addresses the software development lifecycle, with current focus on machine learning applications for mobile, context-aware adaptive systems in ubiquitous computing and IoT. Key areas include:

• Software specification, verification, and testing
• Architecture design for distributed systems
• Adaptive behavior in IoT environments

Major scientific honors include:

• ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Service Award (2018)
• Inaugural ACM SIGSOFT Impact Paper Award (2008)

Previously, he served as Dean of the School of Computing at NUS (2013-2016) and Director of the NUS-Singtel Cyber Security R&D Lab (2016-2020), with prior faculty appointments at UC Irvine and University College London.
