David Ruth, Ph.D., is a faculty member at Penn State University, serving as Program Chair for American Studies and History and as an Associate Professor in the Department of History and the College of the Liberal Arts. He also coordinates the Honors Program.

Ruth teaches courses such as History 21 (American Civilization since 1877), History 302W (Cultural Conflict in 1920s America), and American Studies 497 (Crime and Punishment), often integrating themes of justice and societal values.
