Dr. David Rose is a Research Fellow in the Department of Linguistics at The University of Sydney. As Director of the Reading to Learn program, he trains educators globally in genre-based literacy pedagogy. His work focuses on Indigenous Australian communities, integrating language, culture, and education for equity.

Research interests include literacy education, teacher training, systemic functional linguistics, and language evolution. He explores how discourse structures and genre-based pedagogy can bridge educational gaps for Indigenous learners.
