David Rhyne is an Adjunct Professor of Music at Furman University, specializing in Organ and Harpsichord. He serves as the founding Artistic Director of S.C. Bach (South Carolina’s Bach Society) since 2014 and has over 30 years of experience in sacred music. He directed choral ensembles at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities from 2007 and founded Greenville Early Music. His research on J.S. Bach includes grants to study at the Oregon Bach Festival and Bachfest Leipzig. Choirs under his leadership have performed globally, including Schonbrunn Palace (Vienna), St. Peter's Basilica (Vatican City), and St. Thomas Church (Leipzig).
