David Reiner is Professor of Technology Policy at Cambridge Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on social licence to operate in carbon-constrained environments, public acceptability of low-carbon technologies, and net-zero transition challenges.
His key research areas include climate policy innovation, decarbonization pathways, stakeholder engagement, carbon dioxide removal technologies, and energy system transitions. Recent work examines policy frameworks for hard-to-abate sectors like heavy industry and aviation.
Analysis of Dr. Reiner's publications reveals strong emphasis on practical decarbonization solutions, cross-country policy comparisons, and technological innovation in energy systems. His work consistently integrates economic, social and technical dimensions of sustainability transitions.
