David Reagan

David Reagan serves as an instructor and member of the contracting faculty at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), specifically within the School of Systems & Logistics. With over 23 years of experience in the defense acquisition workforce, he brings extensive practical knowledge to his instructional role, having worked across contracting, logistics, and program management career fields.

His primary teaching responsibility is the Mission Ready Contracting course (MRC 103), the Air & Space Force's badge-awarding course for contracting professionals. This five-week hybrid course trains over 500 acquisition professionals annually and is mandatory for all new military accessions and select civilians.

His educational background features a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix (2004) and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Ohio University (2000), complemented by extensive military education including Squadron Officers School (2020) and Air Command & Staff College (2017).

Prior to AFIT, he served as a professor of contract management at the Defense Acquisition University. His military career spans Navy service (1992-1996) including Middle East deployments aboard the USS America, followed by Air Force Reserve service since 2002, where he was commissioned as a first lieutenant in the Air Force Medical Service Corps in 2017 and currently serves as a medical readiness officer.
