David P. Bernard is an Adjunct Professor and associate faculty member specializing in Systems Ecology, Natural Resource Management, and Sustainability Science. He has over three decades of experience in environmental science, policy, and education across academic, nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors.

His research integrates Decision Science tools into environmental policy, focusing on ecosystem services, regional-scale environmental conflicts, and climate change impacts. He led the U.S. EPA’s Ecosystem Services Research Program and contributed to international sustainability frameworks like the UN Agenda 21 review.
