David Muggeridge

Dr David Muggeridge is a Lecturer at the School of Applied Sciences, Edinburgh Napier University. He is affiliated with the Centre for Cardiovascular Health and Sports, Exercise and Health Science Research Group.

• Current projects (2024-2026): Feasibility study for remote exercise support post-SCAD (funded by Burdett Trust for Nursing and Hibernian Football Club Limited).
• Research spans cardiovascular health, physical activity interventions, and wearable health technology validation.

Publications (2016-2024) focus on topics including seasonal vascular dysfunction, nitrate supplementation effects, sedentary behavior in office workers, and digital health technology applications. Key subfields: vascular physiology, exercise intensity measurement, cardiovascular risk, and technology validation.

Supervision roles include mentoring Alfie Gordon (PhD on nitric oxide seasonality), Aaron Gilfillan (MRes on soccer biomechanics), Kieran Duffie (MRes on football profiling), and Monsuru Sanni (MRes on T-cell suppression assays).
