David Moulton is a Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences at Clemson University's College of Science. His work focuses on fish ecology, conservation, and biotelemetry, with expertise in habitat connectivity, migration patterns, and stress responses.
Educational Background:
- Ph.D., Forest and Conservation Sciences, University of British Columbia (expected 2025)
- Certificate in Advanced Teaching and Learning, University of British Columbia (2022)
- M.S., Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, Texas A&M University (2016)
- B.S., Zoology and Environmental Science, Miami University (2012)
Moulton's research spans marine ecosystems, including mangrove-seagrass-patch reef interactions and salmonid conservation. His publications highlight applications of telemetry in tracking fish movements, responses to environmental stressors, and innovative genetic sampling techniques. He has received the Best Graduate Teaching Assistant Award from the UBC Faculty of Forestry.
Outreach and Education:
- Co-instructor for BIOL 4490/4491 (Field Ecology in Costa Rica)
- Active in graduate school/conservation career panels
