David Morimoto is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geography and Tourism Studies at Brock University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario, an M.Sc. from Queen’s University, and a B.Sc. from Brock University. His research focuses on dendrochronology, paleoecology, and climate change, with a emphasis on tree-ring analysis and paleoclimatic reconstruction.
Dr. Morimoto’s work bridges environmental science and climate dynamics, contributing to understanding long-term environmental changes. His recent studies include isotopic analysis of tree-ring cellulose in the Northwest Territories and climate change impacts on agro-climatic indices in Iran. He teaches courses such as GEOG 3P08 (Meteorology), GEOG 3P09 (Principles of Biogeography), and GEOG 4P80 (Dendrochronology).
His publications span interdisciplinary approaches to climate science, integrating field data with advanced analytical techniques. While no awards are explicitly listed, his contributions to paleoenvironmental research reflect significant scholarly impact.
