Dr. David Mizrahi is a Senior Research Fellow at the Daffodil Centre, University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. He specializes in exercise interventions for cancer patients and survivors, focusing on pediatric and adult oncology. His work integrates clinical practice with research to improve patient outcomes through physical activity. Key roles include Chair of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia's Exercise and Cancer committee and Co-chair of the Little Big Steps Exercise Medicine Advisory Committee. Mizrahi holds a Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship and has collaborated globally with institutions like St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Karolinska Institutet.
His research emphasizes exercise as a therapeutic tool during and after cancer treatment, including studies on chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) and digital health interventions. Mizrahi has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles, with recent focus areas including the impact of exercise on hospitalization rates and the validation of patient-reported outcomes for nerve damage. He received the 2023 Accredited Exercise Physiologist of the Year award.
