David Michael Damiani serves as an Instructor in Aviation at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He holds a U.S. Airframe and Powerplant license with Inspection Authorization and a Limited Commercial Pilot certificate for Single Engine Land aircraft, including Tailwheel, Complex, and High Performance endorsements. With 25 years of General Aviation experience, he specializes in maintaining and inspecting light aircraft powered by reciprocating engines.
His expertise centers on Lycoming legacy piston engines, developed during 6.5 years as a Lycoming Engines Field Service Technical Representative. He teaches Airframe and Powerplant classes at the college and leads the Lycoming Engines Piston Engine Service School through the institution's Workforce Development department, focusing on practical engine troubleshooting and maintenance.
Additionally, Damiani volunteers part-time as Director of Maintenance and staff pilot for the Golden Age Air Museum in Bethel, Pennsylvania, where he maintains and operates historic aircraft including a Fokker Dr.1 Triplane, Curtiss OX-5 powered planes, and other vintage models. He is also an accomplished classical and jazz trombonist performing with local ensembles.
